Anthony HidalgoPresident & Founder
Anthony Hidalgo brings over 14 years of experience in sales, operations, and product development in the telecommunications carrier industry. As President and Founder of Hidalgo Communications, Anthony is responsible for the operation planning, implementation, growth, and support of new products.
Prior to and during his tenure with Hidalgo Communications, Anthony was the Chief Operating Officer of IPNetZone. In this role, Hidalgo Communications was the Wholesale Sales Agency for IPNetZone. In 2012, IPNetZone was acquired by United Network Services Inc., (UNSi), a managed service provider known for launching the first global MPLS exchange platform. From 2008 to 2010, Anthony was the Vice President of Product Development at Network Billing Systems (NBS). In this role, he was responsible for the entire data division of NBS. NBS acquired of Simlab.net in June 2008. Anthony was the point person in orchestrating the initiation, negotiation, and completion of sale of this transaction. Prior to Anthony joining NBS, he was the Executive Vice President of Simlab.net. Here, Anthony was responsible for day-to-day operations, growth, and increasing transaction volume. From 1998 to 2004, Anthony held senior sales and operations roles with many companies such as Transbeam, Intercom, and more. Anthony was the Vice President of Sales at Transbeam, a CLEC and managed network service provider, where he was responsible for the acquisition of Internet Service Providers, increasing annual revenues by 50% percent. Anthony was also the co-founder of iNYC in 1998.
Anthony received the Business Achievement Award from the New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg for co-founding a non-profit group dedicated to reform the distribution of financial assistance to small-businesses affected by the September 11 attacks. In this role, Anthony was successful in significantly increasing the amount of federal grants received and promoting a new federal tax amnesty program.
Craig LamVice President
Craig brings over ten years of experience in finance and accounting, as well as six additional years of experience in the telecommunications industry. As Vice President of Hidalgo Communications, Craig is responsible for analyzing, directing, and managing products and operations.
Prior to and during his position with Hidalgo Communications, Craig was the Director of Operations at IPNetZone. In 2012, IPNetZone was acquired by United Network Services Inc., (UNSi), a managed service provider known for launching the first global MPLS exchange platform. In 2007, Craig was appointed the Director of Finance at Simlab.net. Prior to this position, Craig was a Financial Consultant/Accounting Manager at Contact Solution Group. As a Financial Consultant/Accounting Manager Craig prepared multiple financial reports such as a projected P&L for investor meetings, as well as comprised financial plans for revenue recognition. From 2003 to 2006 Craig was a Controller for First Credit Services Inc. where he prepared internal financials. In this role Craig handled all aspects of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, and implemented a new billing and revenue recognition accounting system. Craig’s previous role to First Credit Services Inc., was at an Accountant to a small business management firm, N-Able Management LLC. In this position Craig managed billings, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and Interim Financials.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a special emphasis in Accounting and economics from the College of Staten Island.
Shane RoybalSenior Director, Global Sales
Shane Roybal was recently appointed as Director of Global Sales at Hidalgo Communications. Roybal’s role is to build the Hidalgo ecosystem and develop new strategies surrounding cloud technology solutions. In this position, Mr. Roybal is responsible for management of strategic sales professionals and multiple day-to-day functions including global sales, agent management and business development. His responsibilities include serving medium to large enterprises encompassing major resellers, ISP’s, VoIP providers, Collocation and content providers, International and regional carriers, CLEC’s, ILEC and Independent Phone Companies.
Earning the title of top sales performer with Equinix as business development executive and strategic account manager as well as working with CenturyLink as Sales Director in Wholesale Markets, Mr. Roybal leverages more than 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to support the progressive efforts of the Hidalgo team. As an Account Director, Mr. Roybal led multiple account teams at CTL focused on international and domestic carriers and regional telecommunications companies. Adding to his impressive portfolio of experience, Mr. Roybal has held several other strategic sales positions, such as Regional Sales Director and Lead Sales Engineer for Qwest Communications. In these roles his duties included designing architecture of domestic U.S. networks for both Global Capacity Group and Telefonica as well as top performing modules in CTL and Quest wholesale for multiple years.
During his academic career Mr. Roybal earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder while simultaneously leading two Engineering societies as the organizations’ President. Furthermore, he has also earned multiple technical certifications such as EIT (Engineer in Training), Cisco’s CCNA and Adtran’s ACNA. Mr. Roybal has a strong history of community presence as he served as the President of the regional Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and actively participates in industry recognized trade events sponsored by PTC, Comptel and ITW.
